Christi Warren, DVM, Diplomate ACVO

Dr. Warren earned her veterinary degree from Texas A&M University. She completed an internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery and a residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine at Washington State University. She then became a resident in the Veterinary Ophthalmology program at University of Florida under her mentors Drs. Gelatt, Whitley, Miller, and Carrier.

With completion of the residency, Dr. Warren became a board-certified Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists and has worked at private specialty practices in Arizona and Florida.

Dr Warren is an ardent supporter of local and national animal and wildlife charities, and performs volunteer work for sanctuaries and animal rescue groups including such as the Conservancy of Southwest Florida for care and rehabilitation of injured Florida wildlife , the Humane Society of Naples, Florida, Animal Refuge Center, Senior Paws, and Shy Wolf Sanctuary. She been awarded the Eagle Award from the Conservancy of Southwest Florida and Animal Advocate Award from the Humane Society Naples. Watch Video

 

Maggie Ewald DVM, MS, Diplomate ACVO

Dr. Maggie Ewald grew up in Florida and completed her undergraduate and veterinary education at the University of Florida. Her veterinary training continued with a one-year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Cornell University. Following her time in New York, Dr. Ewald joined Animal Eye Doctors for a specialty internship under the mentorship of Dr. Christi Warren. She completed her Ophthalmology residency and concurrently received her Masters degree at Kansas State University. Dr. Ewald is a board-certified Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists

Dr. Ewald was inspired to pursue veterinary medicine while growing up watching her mother, Dr. Mary McDaniel, help countless animals in her own veterinary practice. The decision to pursue veterinary ophthalmology was made after having her own dog, Meara, be diagnosed with a blinding condition. Dr. Ewalds passion is having the opportunity to restore vision in animals whenever possible and alleviating their discomfort.

Dr. Ewald’s personal interests include biking, hiking, boating, fishing, and showing dogs. She is proud to have 3 beautiful dogs and 2 cats in her life.
